Cancers. Taking lives every day, often silently lurking in our bodies for a long time before detection. And more than taking lives, Cancer CHANGES lives. Families, friends, colleagues and other people we are connected with in our lives are affected by loss and inspired by those that successfully beat cancer and survive. They may also become more aware of the needs of continuing research and the value of healthier lifestyle choices.
Through the camera lens, in a unique and creative manner, I intend to show a wide range of different subjects willing to be part of the growing art collection, while providing an ongoing resource for those that are curious about or already affected by Cancer – whether personally or indirectly through a friend or loved one.
This site will contain artistic images, useful information, and inspirational stories from survivors, and those affected by Cancer in their lives. An online store supports the creation and distribution of these resources electronically and in print. Through the efforts of my creative teams, myself, and of course those willing to pose for the cause, we are determined to raise $100,000 for Cancer Research in the 12 months from August 1, 2011, to July 31, 2012. (The progress thermometer on the right is currently set to show only $10,000 so we can see movement until we get into larger numbers.)
We will continue to add more information here on the site, as well as offering selected products based on the growing collection of the beautiful artistic imagery that makes up the Gallery. We aim to offer more than just an art gallery, but also become a one-stop site for recent and relevant information related to cancer in both women and men, and to offer articles on supporting loved ones that are undergoing treatment and recovery. We will ‘weed out’ the false reports and unverified treatments for you!
But only with your support can this project be successful! Your donation or you purchase will be used to grow the resources here, as well as fuel the donation pool as we work to reach that goal of $100,000 to give directly to researchers on the cutting edge of Cancer detection and treatment.
Regards and Thanks!
